Four Indonesian workers who believed to have had close contact with a COVID-19 patient ran away from their house in Sepang after they underwent COVID-19 tests yesterday (May 20). The police are now looking for them, reported Kwong Wah Yit Poh.

According to Sepang district police chief ACP Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof, a road construction company in Port Dickson conducted COVID-19 screenings on all its employees on Wednesday (May 13). Medical personnel on May 18 informed that an Indonesian worker had tested positive for the virus and was taken to the Sungai Buloh Hospital for treatment.

On May 19, the Sungai Pelek Health Center instructed the company to bring all other employees who shared the same house with the infected worker to undergo another test. Two Bangladeshi were diagnosed with COVID-19 after the second screening and were also taken to Sungai Buloh Hospital for treatment.

At the same time, four Indonesian employees were found missing.

ACP Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof said today (May 21) morning that from the first screenings, the results of the three men came back negative but the woman, whose husband was tested positive, has yet to undergo the test, reported China Press.

He urged the public to provide information to the police so the four migrant workers could be traced.
