Certainly, we all have cherished dining spots that have been a part of our lives since childhood, and even as adults, we remain devoted patrons due to the nostalgic memories and delectable flavours.
In a recent post, a Malaysian individual known as Sunny Coco lamented the imminent closure of his beloved nasi lemak stall, compelled by authorities due to outstanding rent. Expressing deep dismay, Sunny Coco revealed that he had been a patron of this stall since the age of 7, and the news of its closure came as a shock.
The stall passed down through three generations, held sentimental value for Sunny, who decided to step in and offer financial assistance to cover a year's rent. Recalling the stall's heyday, Sunny mentioned how it used to be bustling with patrons, especially with the nearby bus stop contributing to its popularity.
However, changes in the bus route resulted in a decline in business, leading to accumulated debts for the vendor. The stall, with a rich history spanning 50 years, originated with the woman's grandfather, followed by her father, and is now under her management.
Sunny, known for his business acumen, took this opportunity to voice his concern about the government's role in not supporting the single mother who is facing such challenges. In his statement, he emphasized that the stall belonged to Kulai, and his intention was not to take it away from the local community.
