Residing in close proximity to neighbours brings numerous advantages, as they are often the ones who lend assistance in times of need.

However, a video recently shared on TikTok depicted a woman and a man exiting a Honda HR-V parked along the roadside. In the footage captured by CCTV, the woman, emerging from the passenger seat, examined the door, presumed to be scratched by the nearby plant.
Subsequently, she proceeded to stomp on the plant, causing its stem to snap. Responding to the incident in the comments section, the plant owner, known as Annzzle, expressed disappointment at the neighbour's negligent behaviour in damaging her plant.
This occurrence elicited reactions from netizens, with many expressing outrage at the neighbour's thoughtless actions. "I'm shocked. They planted the tree there to prevent you from parking. Not only are they insensitive neighbours, but they also lack the basic sense to avoid damaging the innocent plant," remarked one netizen.
Additionally, some criticized the woman for harming a plant that could benefit the local community in the future. "What a reckless act. Doesn't she realize the unpredictable hot weather? Trees are planted for shade and cooling as they mature. That area is public property, not exclusively hers," noted another individual.
Moreover, many questioned the driver's decision not to park the car in front to avoid obstructing the plant. "What's the harm in parking a bit further ahead? After parking haphazardly, they blame the plant for impeding their car exit," explained a man.
For individuals facing harassment or property damage from neighbours, lodging complaints with local authorities, such as the City Council or Municipal Council, like the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), is an option. Such incidents constitute offences under Section 2 of the Local Government Act 1976, encompassing causing disasters, damage, annoyance, danger, impairment of senses, health, property, safety, or other residents' rights.
