Based on reports, there’s gonna be a series spinoff of the X-rated Sausage Party animated movie from 2016, and we’re speechless.
Apparently a series spinoff has been in the works since late 2022 and the show will air on Prime Video.
The show called Sausage Party: Foodtopia, is said to premiere on July 11 with 8 episodes. There will be reprised roles as well as newcomers onboard like Natasha Rothwell, Will Forte and more.
Foodtopia will pick up following the events of the film, during which the grocery store foods discover the fate that would befall them when they were finally taken home by a human. The show will follow the group as they strike out to make a utopian society.
We’re barely recovering from the trauma of 2016. Damn.
