A tree fell on a car near Wisma Magnum, Jalan Pudu, earlier today, causing significant damage to the vehicle and injuring two female occupants.
The incident, which occurred around 10:44 am, involved a 39-year-old woman and a 15-year-old girl who sustained minor injuries. They were inside a Honda City when the tree came crashing down.
The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department promptly responded to a distress call and dispatched a team to the location. Operations Commander PBK II Md Izzat Ahmad stated that the response involved personnel from the Jalan Hang Tuah and Pudu Fire and Rescue Stations.
A total of 15 personnel, supported by two fire engines and an Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicle, were mobilized.
"The team reported that the fallen tree was blocking the road and had struck a vehicle. The victims were immediately handed over to the ambulance team for medical attention," said Md Izzat Ahmad.
With assistance from Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), the rescue team worked efficiently to clear the trees and debris from the road, ensuring the area was safe for traffic.
