In the video, the frustrated customer confronted the man, criticizing his act of stealing. However, the stall's female vendor responded with unexpected kindness, defending the man and stating that she didn't mind giving him food.
The man, who was later revealed to be a person with disabilities (OKU), explained that he was simply hungry. Moved by his situation, the vendor insisted on letting him go, even offering him food without charge. Additionally, a nearby soya vendor also stepped in, paying for the stolen meal and providing a drink for the man.
Despite being a social experiment, the video showcased the vendor's generosity and willingness to help those in need. As a gesture of appreciation, Jonas rewarded them with a sum of money.
The video has gained significant attention, amassing 1.5 million views as of February 17. Many netizens praised the vendors for their compassion, while others expressed how the act restored their faith in humanity.
"I'm crying not because I'm sad, but because I'm touched to see that our society still has kind-hearted people who help regardless of race. Thank you, Malaysians," commented a TikTok user.
