Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Mohd Yassin has announced that certain types of sports and recreational activities will be allowed to resume, subject to compliance with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) during the implementation of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO).
“Outdoor group activities such as cycling and motorcycle convoys are also allowed."
"What is still not allowed is sports competitions or games involving large crowds of supporters or spectators such as at stadiums, swimming, and public swimming pools and contact sports such as rugby, wrestling, boxing, football, basketball, and hockey," he said in his special address on the Movement Control Order (MCO) on Sunday.
And also, under the RMCO, people are allowed to travel across states while domestic tourism is very much encouraged.
"So, you can take your family to travel in the country while practicing the new norms after close to three months of not going anywhere. For those who desire to travel overseas, do wait as our country's borders are still closed," he said.
A lot of restrictions that were set during the MCO will loosen under the Recovery Movement Control Order.
