A 26-year-old woman in New Delhi, India was stabbed more than 40 times by her husband, all while it was happening in broad daylight.

The horrifying incident took place in a busy market area where many bore witness as the estranged husband stabbed her multiple times in a fit of rage. The nearby CCTV camera caught the exact moment of the attack and the footage shows there were many passersby present yet no one bothered to come to the woman's rescue.

When the woman stopped resisting, the husband continued to stab her lifeless body 25 more times before taking a break as seen in the picture above. He was later reprimanded by the police with the help of the public who reported the incident.

It was reported that the husband wasn't happy with the wife's decision in choosing a career for herself and wanted her to just stay home and be a housewife. He also accused her of having an affair prior to the attack.
