As the people of Malaysia slowly complete their second-dose vaccinations, the government has green-lit shot number 3. Read here.
However, a booster shot does come with certain criterion to follow, as means to ensure priority and safety in general. Based on Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin, here are the few things to take note of, for the first batch of 3rd dose recipients.
They are:
1. Individuals who received Sinovac (to wait a sum of 90 days after second dose), before receiving booster shot
2. Individuals who received Pfizer (to wait a sum of 120 days after second dose), before receiving booster shot
3. Aged 18 and above with comorbidities
4. Aged 40 years and older
5. Pregnant women

For the time being, this group of people are the first in line to receive their booster shot. So, if you do know or have anyone belonging in these categories, do go to your nearest health facility listed on https://protecthealth.com.my/ to register ASAP.
