As announced by Singapore's PM a few days back, November 29th (today), is the first day for the VTL travel program between neighbouring countries of Singapore and Malaysia. Read here.
Ensuring to meet every criteria in order to visit each country (inclusive of being fully vaccinated and taking a pre-departure test), unfortunately reports by Malaysia's MOH noted that 1 positive case was detected about an hour ago, at the entryway.

Unalarmed by the development, Minister of Health noted that positive cases would bound to occur and that is the reason why pre-departure and on-arrival testing, have been implemented.
Via a tweet he stated that, here on out, risk assessment, isolation and monitoring of those traveling, would become our new normal.
This is why pre-departure (PDT) and on-arrival testing (OAT) are in place. As we safely reopen our borders, there will be positive cases at points of entry. Risk assessment, isolation & monitoring close contacts will become the norm. https://t.co/ZbqIVFYBvU

Fortunately though, the VTL initiative has given families who have been apart for more than 20 months now, to finally be reunited once again.
The VTL with Singapore is reconnecting families safely after months of being apart, some who have yet to meet their newborn. https://t.co/rBugLg3SHs
