The PDRM has arrested two local men in their 60s for allegedly using a photo of Yang di-Pertuan Agong while campaigning for the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election.
Hulu Selangor police claim they were observed in a car with images of the King, Prime Minister, and PH flags.
Police also said the two have been held for three days, until May 7. The vehicle, a green Mazda, was also seized.
An investigation has been launched under the Election Offences Act 1954 and the Sedition Act 1948.
Earlier, Ng Sze Han, the PH election director for Kuala Kubu Baharu, denied that the SUV was theirs.
"We're stunned by this. It has nothing to do with our campaign team," he told the NST.
Meanwhile, the PN requested that the incident be probed by the EC.
