The Kelantan government has announced a ban on all forms of entertainment and loud noise on Thursday evenings.
This measure, rooted in the 1998 Control of Entertainment and Places of Entertainment Enactment, aims to encourage Muslims to enhance their acts of worship from Thursday after the Asar prayer until Friday evening.
Hilmi Abdullah, chairman of the State Local Government, Housing, Health and Environment Committee, shared this decision following the state executive council meeting on Wednesday, July 24.
The decision comes in response to several recent breaches of regulations, including a notable incident where an event organizer tested a public address system near a mosque.
