15 children in New York City, aged between 2 and 15, are showing symptoms that are associated with Kawasaki disease that are possibly linked to COVID-19, according to the New York City Health Department. The rare condition was first noted in children with COVID-19 in the United Kingdom. It is learnt that Italy and Spain have also reported similar cases.

All of the children have been hospitalized, with at least 5 of them needed breathing assistance.
