As we all know, Malaysians are truly kind citizens who will do anything to help each other, and this has been proven on multiple occasions.
Just over the weekend the Klang Valley was overcome with huge floods causing many citizens to be stranded on the roofs of their homes waiting for assistance.
Malaysians from all over the country shared stories on social media of local heroes coming to help those stranded in the Klang Valley.
Twitter user shared that all over the PLUS highway he saw cars heading south with boats. Some were towing their boats, some brought lorries and some even attached boats to the roof of their cars.
A user named Roy Razman replied to the Tweet saying that they were helping as a way to repay the kindness of Malaysians from the Klang Valley who came and provided assistance to them when they were experiencing huge floods in the past.
Besides that, a Twitter user named Jalal Misai also shared a post of a man named En. Azman who came from Melaka to help those in need in the Klang Valley.
He came to Shah Alam with his Viva and a boat attached to his car. After Shah Alam, he was heading to Sri Muda and Puchong to help.
Meanwhile, Farhan, a Twitter user, uploaded a picture of a man believed to be a fisherman who went down to the Klang Valley to help the flood victims.
On the other hand, the Sikhs also did not miss the opportunity to help by cooking food for flood victims stranded in their residential areas.
A FB user named Kiridaren Jayakumar shared screenshots of all the posts of people helping with the caption that even if he gets 50k salary, he will never leave this amazing country. We couldn’t agree more!
While some of these heroes go unnoticed, we want them to know that they are all appreciated. We want to thank everyone who showed up and gave all the help that they could give to the flood victims. Thank you for showing us that together, we Malaysians can get through everything, even the rising waters of the floods.
