Perlis, Kedah, And Penang Residents Now Warned Of Possible Flash Flood

The Malaysian Metrology Department (MetMalaysia) has just issued a heavy rain warning on the north side of Malaysia, starting tomorrow morning via their official YouTube live broadcast.

Residents in three states, namely Perlis, Kedah, and Penang have been asked to remain vigilant at times of bad weather that will likely occur in those respective states.

"After the weather recovers on the West Coast of the Peninsula, three states in the North of the country, especially Perlis, Kedah, and Penang will face heavy rain starting early tomorrow morning.

"Residents in the affected states are hereby asked to be ready for possible flash floods and property destruction as heavy rains and strong winds will likely to occur," they explained.


To residents in the affected states, do prepare yourself for the possible worst-case scenario. Protect your belongings, start evacuating to higher grounds and equip yourself with necessary necessities in case the situation worsens. Please stay safe!
