ICYMI: WATCH: Religious Preacher Doubles As 'Snake Whisperer'
In a horrific incident that shocked the world, a 29-year-old mother, Hana, beheaded her 5-year-old son in Egypt. Not only that, she also cooked his head in a boiling stew and ate part of the brain tissue. She claimed in court that she was controlled by witchcraft before she committed the crime. The court ultimately ruled that she was insane and recently made a ruling on the case.
According to the case, after Hana ended her marriage four years ago, her battle for custody with her ex-husband made her have crazy thoughts, and she ended the life of her innocent son in an extreme way.
She slashed her son three times with a machete, cut off his head, put it into boiling soup, cooked his head, and ate part of his brain tissue.
After she was arrested, she said that she would do this so that she could be with her son forever. This unexpected behaviour caused great shock and discussion in the society.
In the early stages of the case, Hana was found to have committed premeditated murder while in a normal mental state and did not take any mind-affecting drugs when committing the crime; at that time, the case was investigated and prosecuted as homicide.
However, during the subsequent mental evaluation, she claimed that she had been subjected to witchcraft by relatives and friends, which led to such extreme behaviour. Although this statement is incredible, the court finally determined that Hana was suffering from delusional symptoms when she committed the murder, and decided to detain her to a mental hospital last Saturday.
