Based on recent reports, hit animation Inside Out 2 has now beaten Dune Part 2 and become the biggest movie of 2024!
Moving into its second week since release, the animation beat all expectations in its opening weekend, making almost $155 million domestically.
It is also just the 7th movie to surpass $100 million in its second weekend after Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($149 million), Avengers: Endgame ($147 million), Avengers: Infinity War ($114 million), Black Panther ($111.6M), Jurassic World ($106 million), and The Avengers ($103 million).
For worldwide scales, the movie has exceeded Dune: Part Two’s $711 million total and currently sits on the throne with $724 million.
The animation is set to go past $1 billion in the coming week or two, and expected to beat the first Inside Out ($858 million) after the next weekend.
