On November 24, tragedy struck a family when a newborn baby, Muhammad Adham Mikail, passed away just 30 minutes after his birth due to severe abnormalities. Born with only one eye, no nose, and no anal opening, Adham Mikail's story is a poignant reminder of the hardships faced by some families.

Mr. Wan Cai, the founder of the Special Funeral Van Unit (UKVJ), took to Facebook to share the devastating series of events surrounding the baby's short life and passing. According to his posts, Adhams father was unable to pay the hospital bill for his wife's labor, leading to a heartbreaking consequence. The private hospital allegedly detained the mother in the ward as collateral and kept the baby's body in a freezer for two weeks until the father managed to settle the bill.

The father, a factory worker in Shah Alam, had only worked for five days when the incident occurred. Wan Cai revealed that the father had been at work when his wife experienced severe pain. A neighbor rushed her to the hospital, and the father arrived as soon as he was informed. Despite his best efforts, he faced insurmountable financial challenges.

"It was heartbreaking to see the body of this innocent child completely frozen. Imagine, a baby who passed away on November 24 was kept for 2 weeks in a freezer," Wan Cai wrote in one of his posts.

Handling Adham Mikails body was an emotional and difficult task for Wan Cai and his team. He explained that the baby's frozen body had to be thawed using a mixture of hot and tap water to prepare it for burial.

"We had trouble managing Adhams body. We had to mix hot water with tap water to soften the baby's body and joints," he said.

Despite the challenging circumstances, Adham Mikail was finally laid to rest on December 9 at a Muslim cemetery in Selat Klang. The burial was made possible through public donations, which covered the cost of the burial plot.
