The Monday blues hit Some people hard, and this morning brought an unexpected event at Midvalley Megamall in Kuala Lumpur. A staff member heard distant yelling and, along with others, investigated the commotion. They discovered several security officers aggressively instructing people, including mall workers, to walk away. It turned out that the watch store Swatch was launching a new timepiece with only 10 units available.
With most malls opening at 10 am, a large crowd had already gathered at the North Court ground floor. It appeared that the officers were attempting to disperse the crowd. However, many netizens felt their aggressive behaviour was unnecessary, especially as some individuals passed through to get to their offices.
As for the watch Swatch was launching, it was the newly-released Blackface timepiece, which quickly sold out all 10 units.
