According to police, a 19-year-old international student at a public university died after falling from the 33rd floor.
Based on preliminary findings, the victim attempted to use the window to leave a restroom because the door was broken.
Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof, the district police chief, said the event happened at approximately 6:34 p.m. today.
"A member of the public made a report about a woman lying in a pool of blood at the corridor of the 12th floor."
The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical authorities and the victim is believed to have slipped and fallen from the 33rd floor, landing on the 12th floor corridor, Naazron stated.
"The victim's body was sent to Serdang Hospital for a post-mortem."
The cause of death was determined to be "multiple injuries resulting from a fall from a height" by the autopsy performed today.
Naazron added that the case has been classified as a sudden death (SDR), and anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to assist with further investigations.
