Wohoo~~~TGIF! It's time to relax at the weekend. Below are a few old-style and distinctive cafes hidden in Kuala Lumpur. I believe there is one of them that will definitely satisfy your taste buds!

#1. Da Bao

The store looks like a simple and ordinary cafe by looking at it from the outside. In fact, it has both modern and retro elements in its interior designs.

You can choose to dine in downstairs in the restaurant category or upstairs in the bar category,

The main food provided by this restaurant is pork belly bun, and there are many flavours to choose from, including sambal satay chicken, mutton rendang, buttermilk fried chicken, and many more.

In addition, they also offer other food and drinks. The rice bowls they provided are very full and you will definitely feel satisfied after having a bowl of it.

It's worth mentioning that the cocktails that they provided are extraordinarily amazing!

Address: 145, Jalan Petaling, City Centre, 50000 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur

Business hours: 11.00 am-9 pm (Wednesday to Sunday) | 11.30 am-9 pm (Tuesday); closed on Monday

#2. Merchant's Lane

The environment of this cafe is quite relaxing and you might once think of yourself dining in a tropical rainforest or garden while eating and sitting on the bamboo wicker chairs there.

It is a good place to check in. The cakes and coffee in it are also super outstanding, and you would definitely cannot stop yourself from thinking of having the second try. If you haven't been here, hurry up and come with your friends or lovers!

#3. Jao Tim

This cafe was formerly a British hotel, so it was named "Jao Tim" pronounced in Cantonese. Although it has been refurbished, it still has teak floors, red bricks, and a 30-foot-tall ceiling. It is much like the setting of hotels in foreign countries.

Sometimes, there will be jazz performances too. You can enjoy a coffee and cheese sandwich while listening to jazz.

#4. Lim Kee Café

This is a Nanyang cafe. The simple and retro decoration seems to be able to bring you to go back to the 70s.

They offer classic toast, half-boiled eggs and coffee here too. What a perfect match for breakfast!
