A violent incident at an Internet cafe in Buntong, Ipoh, where two gamers were attacked by a group of men with knives, was captured on camera and has gone viral on X.

Police are currently investigating the fight that broke out that saw two men injured, one even bleeding out. 

The attackers, who entered the property wearing motorcycle helmets, attacked the complainant in the one-minute, thirty-second video.

According to Ipoh OCPD Assistant Chief Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad, on Tuesday (May 28), authorities started the investigation upon finding a video clip of the incident that went viral.

Two men were hurt in the incident, according to ACP Abang Zainal Abidin. The victims were an 18-year-old and a 24-year-old complainant who filed a police report to the situation. Five armed attackers were involved.

"The complainant and his friend were playing games at the premises before being attacked by five men who were armed with knives," he stated in a statement.

The incident is thought to have happened on Monday, May 27, at roughly 10:15 p.m.

In the video, it can be seen that the complainant was attempting to defend himself while also taking hits from a helmet.

While the case the case is being investigated under Section 148 of the Penal Code for rioting, ACP Abang Zainal Abidin is urging the public to come forward with any information, should they have any that might assist them with this case. 

Besides, he has also emphasised for netizens to not speculate on the incident to avoid confusion and anxiety among fellow Malaysians and the community which could lead to an interference with the investigation.
