Announced just recently, the most recent Disney film to receive the live-action treatment is "Tangled."
The 2010 animated film, a musical adaptation of the Brothers Grimm tale of the enchantedly long-haired princess Rapunzel, will be reimagined by the studio.
Fans are even more thrilled after learning that Michael Gracey, the director of "The Greatest Showman," is in talks to helm the movie based on a story written by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, whose credits include the upcoming "I Know What You Did Last Summer" revival, Thor: Love and Thunder, and Netflix's dark comedy "Do Revenge."
As of now, the casting has yet to be revealed.
The story of "Tangled," surrounds an outlaw named Flynn Rider who eventually saves the princess Rapunzel from her isolated tower.
The critically acclaimed movie made $592 million at the worldwide box office when it debuted in November, 14 years ago, inspiring spinoffs such as the 2012 short film Tangled Ever After and 2017 TV series Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure.
