Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare has announced that the country will cease the remaining Covid-19 border controls, effective April 29.
By imposing the move, international tourists will no longer be required to present any vaccination proof or negative pre-departure test results.
However, those who display symptoms or are tested positive upon arrival will need to undergo quarantine.
With Japan being one of the countries badly impacted by the pandemic, the lifting is expected to boost its tourism industry on a bigger scale.
