Are you tired of looking at the same background every time you're using WhatsApp? Do you want to set your favorite picture as a chat wallpaper for your conversation with that someone special? Great news, you can do all that! With the latest updates, there is now an even wider range of wallpapers and the ability to set a custom wallpaper for different chats. Let's look at how to do that!
Step #1:
Update WhatsApp to The Latest Version. Go into the conversation of your choice and tap their name on the top to enter the "Contact Info" page. From there, find and tap on "Wallpaper & Sound". (TIP: The slider at the bottom can be used to change the brightness of your background later on.)
Step #2:
Tap "Choose a New Wallpaper" and you'll be greeted with 2 new series of wallpapers aside from the original "solid colors" series. The new "Bright" series features some breathtaking views and famous landmarks while the "Dark" series consists of low-light photography with some evening and night views. You will also see the option to select a wallpaper from your photo album right below.
Step #3:
Once you've selected your preferred photo, you can preview the final results, pinch and zoom and move things around until you're happy, then tap "Set" to finish the process.
Wasn't that easy? Now you can set up that lovely photo from your family trip as your family’s group chat wallpaper; your lovey-dovey pictures as the background for the conversation with your other half; or a really nostalgic photo at the back of the chat with your childhood friend.
