6 Challenges That The Students Faced When They Need To Attend Online Classes

I believe many students miss those wonderful days in their school/ college/ university.

During the MCO period, many students have to stay at home to take online classes, as well as to communicate with the teachers and friends in video sessions every day.

However, there are external issues that make the online learning process becomes more difficult.

1. No Proper Device

Computers are required for online classes but not everyone could afford one.

Some use mobile phones to attend online classes, exams, or assignments and we all know there are some limitations to mobile phones.

For example, some of the works require other software, like Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

In addition, the screen of a mobile phone is very small, making it difficult for the students to read articles for a long time.

2. Slow Internet Speed

Many students are afraid of the sudden disconnection during classes and exams as it might cause them to perform badly in their exams.

Besides, slow internet will also reduce the learning efficiency of the students as it will be more difficult for students to have a smooth online learning process with their teachers.

Some students might even need to go to friends' homes to 'borrow' a faster internet speed for online classes and exams.

3. Cannot Participate In Extracurricular Activities

During the pandemic period, the students cannot participate in extracurricular activities such as sports, singing, dancing, and debate at school. This causes them to have lost many opportunities to expand their social circle and find to meet new friends.

4. Health Problems: Obesity, Eye Fatigue, Headaches, Backaches

Many students are facing weight gain issue during the pandemic period because they have to sit at home for a long time to take online classes. After the online classes, some of them would also remain in their sedentary position to play on their mobile phones.

A sedentary lifestyle and lack of exercises ultimately lead to health issues, like obesity, headaches and backaches.

Besides, many of them also face eye fatigue and severe loss of vision.

Sadly, some students even have to keep dropping eye drops to relieve eye fatigue.

5. Burden Of Homework & Assignments

In addition to long-term online classes, students also have to deal with homework, assignments, exams, as well as some uncooperative team members.

They often stay up late and sleep no more than 6 hours a day to catch up with their homework and assignments.

6. Hard To Find A Love Partner

It is difficult for some single college students to meet a suitable love partner because they cannot return to school.

Sometimes, they feel ashamed of being single when they see that their classmates have boyfriends/ girlfriends.

Above are the challenges that the students faced when they need to attend online classes.

It is essential to take a good rest, do some simple exercises at home, stretch your body after attending a long online class.
