A Facebook post depicting a serving of white rice and a dollop of gravy in a takeaway plastic container as part of the Supplementary Food Plan (RMT) for Malaysian school students has recently made its way around social media, for its incredibly poor nutritional value, given that it is meant for young teenagers to consume.
In accordance with the viral post, the Ministry of Education (MOE) will thus be conducting further investigations into the matter. The Senior Minister of Education, Datuk Dr. Radzi Jidin said he took the allegations seriously and had ordered an investigation to identify the school involved.
"KPM does not compromise in matters involving the welfare of students," he said via a post on Facebook today. Let's hope the investigation will put an end to this problem as the food certainly does not serve enough nutrients for a student.
