Punches and kicks were thrown on and off the football pitch following an amateur friendly match that took place in Penang recently. A viral video shared by Syahminsam on his TikTok showed some players losing their cool.
A shouting match ensued before some players started pushing and shoving each other, seen to be engaging in an altercation, while other players and spectators also tried to calm things down. Profanities can also be heard in the viral video which gained over 428,000 thousand views.

It was difficult to speculate the reason behind the fight from the high pitched screaming and shouting heard in the video. Netizens were left amused and bemused by the spectacle.
"They're fighting as if they're playing in the EPL (English Premier League) but it is just a friendly match," said _pidottt.
"How many millions is the prize money? That they have to fight like in the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship)," said Bad@Aziz.
TikTok user Untak Kerengit said sports should unite the people, but it was the opposite that happened that day. "I thought sports unites us and it is a fun game but here the opposite happens," he said.
