Six years after the Avengers disbanded, Marvel is setting the stage for a new team in Captain America: Brave New World (2025).
Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), now fully embracing his role as Captain America, faces a new challenge: leading the Avengers.
The film opens with President Thaddeus Thunderbolt Ross (Harrison Ford) tasking Wilson with restarting the team.
Ross, once behind the Sokovia Accords, now sees the Avengers as a necessary global force especially with the discovery of Adamantium, a powerful new resource.
However, Wilson may not align with Ross government-controlled vision, creating tension.
Meanwhile, Thunderbolts (2025) could introduce a rival Avengers squad led by John Walker (Wyatt Russell). Wilson is expected to appear in upcoming MCU films to assemble his own independent team before Avengers: Doomsday (2026).
Marvel is fast-tracking the Avengers return, and Wilson's journey in Brave New World will prove he's ready to lead.
