It's undeniable that everyone wants to achieve their healthy and ideal body weight.
To achieve it, we need to have enough motivation and perseverance. However, many people failed because either the journey of losing weight was too hard for them so they gave up or because there was no sign of progress despite taking different kinds of action.
Recently, a mother of 3 shared on Facebook about her diet that she found out for herself. She named it the "Banana Diet" as she eats 5 bananas a day during her diet plan. Sophia's weight loss journey is certainly a true inspiration for people out there, especially mothers who just had children.
What's interesting is that she ate bananas to reduce the feeling of hunger. The type of banana she eats is the Cavendish banana, which is the most suitable for dieting purposes as it contains carbohydrates that act as an energy source and also enough to fill one's stomach.
Sophia shared her tips and also what she eats within a day during her weightloss journey. She suggested following these steps for the first 12 days of the diet. Just by following this, she lost 5kg in 12 days.
The ratio of bananas eaten is 2:2:1 or 2:1:2.

After Waking Up
1. Drink 200ml of warm water upon waking up. (This can detox the body and prevent shock on the waist if you suddenly drink sweet drinks.)
2. Eat 2 bananas and drink a cup of warm water. (You'll feel your stomach being bloated as the bananas are rich in fiber.)
3. You can follow an Atkins diet for breakfast if you think that is necessary. I eat fried sausages/omelets/wholemeal bread with salad and mayonnaise.
Afternoon
1. Before lunch, consume 1 or 2 bananas to get rid of the feeling of hunger. This prevents you from eating too much for lunch.
2. You can also follow an Atkins diet for lunch if necessary. (I am a mother of 3 and I also have a young 3-year-old. Without consuming rice, my body cannot handle it without energy. So I limit my rice intake to half-a-spoon with 1/2 of my plate must be filled with vegetables and the other 1/4 of my plate be filled with chicken or fish.)
Evening Before 6 pm & Before Sleep
1. You can follow an Atkins diet for dinner if necessary. (Personally, I like to eat Weetameal biscuits in the evening before dinner. I will stop eating the biscuits once I feel like my stomach has bloated. Besides that, I also like to eat vegetable soup or vegetable tomyam but avoid rice.)
2. Then before going to sleep, I will eat another banana.

After 12 days following these steps, Sophia just sticks to having fewer carbohydrates in her diet and adding more protein. Besides these steps, she also shares her tips on how to have and maintain a flat stomach.
- Work hard on drinking warm lemon water in the morning or throughout the day (without adding sugar).
- For better effect, try adding ginger slices into warm water. Ginger is good for getting rid of wind inside the body because, during dieting, it is easy for the wind to enter our body because we are eating less.
- Also to maintain that slim and beautiful figure, it really is worth the effort to take care of our body internally and externally.
