While it does sound too good to be true, it seems like the Malaysians who are living and working in America have proven that the American Dream is actually attainable.
In a recent study published in the US Census Bureau on the median household income in the United States by ethnic group, Malaysian-Americans were ranked number 6 with a median household income of $70,300 (RM 309,144.25). What shocked most of us was that Malaysian-Americans were ranked higher than White Americans who had a median household income of only $50,900 (RM 223,746.22).
The ethnic group with the highest median household income were the Indian-Americans at $100,500 (RM 441,777.90) while the ethnic group with the lowest median household income were the African-Americans at $35,000 (RM 153,853.00).
It is clear to see that despite all the opportunities in America, Malaysians still worked hard and sacrificed a lot to achieve success in America.
