"It's all fuzzy" -Smith recalled as he sat down in the almost six-minute video- upon being questioned the true motive behind his shocking onstage altercation towards Rock.
The comedian had made a "G.I Jane" remark on Jada Pinkett-Smith's buzz cut hairdo, which infuriated her husband. Rock apparently wasn't aware of her alopecia condition.
The actor also took the time to extend his apologies towards Rock, Rock's mother and even the nominees and winners.
"I've reached out to Chris and the message that came back is that he's not ready to talk and when he is, he will reach out so I will say to you Chris, I apologise to you. My behaviour was unacceptable and I'm here whenever you're ready to talk."
To further quell his reputation, Smith even denied Jada's rumoured involvement on the incident.
