As the curtains fell at the Star Academy National Finals 2023, Johor's J'Shua Chua of JJ Wine and Tapas emerged as the national champion, earning himself an all-expense-paid trip to Amsterdam.
With the aim to raise the bar in the industry, this championship equipped bartenders with product knowledge and technical expertise, transforming them into beer connoisseurs. From mastering beer taste profiling to perfecting the Heineken® Star Quality Serve and Guinness Perfect Pour, these bartenders brought their A-game.
The final showdown wasn't just about perfect pours; it also tested presentation skills and audience engagement. J'Shua Chua, alongside the runner-up Yeoh Seng Yao from Maze Eatery and Bar, Perak, and third-place winner James Aloysius Mojitu from Stylo Marriott Sabah, wowed the judges and audience alike.
