Here's HOPE in tough times - 103-year-old woman and 4 other elderly survived from Covid-19

The world has recorded over 24k deaths related to Covid-19 up to today (27th March 2020) and people is certainly concerned about it. Especially for elderly people, as they have weaker immune system compared to the young ones, thus making them more vulnerable to the virus.

However, some good news sparking throughout the world. Many elders are recovering from infection and living their life happily now. This certainly to brings a joyful hope to many.

Below are 5 of the cases we gathered to share :-

#1  95 years old Italian woman - Alma Clara Corsini

She was admitted to the Pavulo Hospital in the northern province of Modena on 5th of March 2020. She is the first to survived in Modena and the oldest survivor in Italy.

#2  97 years old South Korea woman

The old lady was from Cheongdo, Korea, which is very near to the epicenter of the Asian nation's outbreak, Daegu. She is now the oldest survivor in South Korea from coronavirus. Her identity was not disclosed.


#3  98 years old UK war hero - Jack Bowden

The oldest survivor in UK, who is also a Second World War hero, was first admitted to the Royal Bolton Hospital and treated for water infection. He was tested for Covid-19 and the result came back positive two days later he was first admitted. Soon enough, he recovered and was discharged two days later. He was only in the hospital in less than a week time.

#4  103 years old Iranian woman

The Iranian old lady was reported to recovered from the virus, making her the 2nd oldest survivor in the world surviving the virus. Her identity was not disclosed. 


#5   103 years old Chinese woman - Zhang Guangfen 

She is the oldest women in the world that has recovered from Covid-19. On 1st of March, 2020, she was sent to the Wuhan's Liyuan Hospital. The old lady was with mild bronchitis, but other than that, she has no other underlying health condition.
