Another K-drama we've recently gotten our sights set on is TVN's February release, Twenty-Five Twenty-One. 

Connected by both the past and the present, Twenty-Five Twenty-One tells the story of a young fencer (Hee-Do) with big dreams, who meets a young man intending on rebuilding his life. 

Both having their own sets of challenges, they lean on one another for support. Fast-forward to present day, in an attempt to handle the pressures of life, Min Chae (Hee-Do's daughter), runs away from home and discovers her mother's story of the past. 

One which has been trending since release, and being claimed to be K-drama of the year, here are 5 possible reasons why people are all about it. 

#1 Unique storyline

Always a great selling-point, this K-drama has a typical-but-not-so-much tale to tell, which will have one glued whether they like it or not. 

#2 Interesting side-characters

K-dramas mostly center over the main leads, however good K-dramas have a way of making even the lives of the secondary characters intriguing, and Twenty-Five Twenty-One is certainly one of them. You can't help but anticipate their plotlines too. 

#3 Very much like real life

Fiction is fiction, but you know a K-drama is bound to leave an impact, if you're right there with every character. Whether it is happiness, sadness, support or anger, you'll find yourself rooting for all these unreal, but yet very real people. 

#4 You see the reality of things

Like it is with everything in the world, there isn't a part of life where politics don't thrive. Throughout this drama, watchers would be able to see how politics plays quite a role in sports, in the media, and how much power they have to propagate people.

#5 Ost & Cinematography 

Set in the 90's, Twenty-Five Twenty-One has a very retro-feel to it. Great ambience and even greater songs to enjoy, there is no reason to not tune in!
