Recently, a strange gang of guys in masks materialized in Bukit Bintang and Puchong. They were giving away free food to onlookers, such as chickens and eggs.
Receiving the materials for free is obviously beneficial considering how pricey they are, and the guys in masks reassured the people that they don't ask for anything in return. The team revealed in a recent TikTok post @xyzteamproject that they had seen a regular online activity where Malaysian influencers were giving away free iPhones on social media.
The team acknowledged the influencers' generosity, but they felt there was another way the help might have been provided.
"It is advisable to concentrate on the needs of life. A thousand-dollar iPhone can only provide happiness to one individual.
For the team, what matters most is the use and worth of the items that are distributed to the general population.
"A more useful replacement for the iPhone could genuinely keep hundreds of people happy," they said.
The crew went to Taman Medan, PJ housing neighborhood recently to provide free seafood, specifically barramundi fish (Ikan Siakap), in addition to eggs and raw chickens.
In the team's most recent TikTok video, the inhabitants could be seen accepting the free fish and giving free rice to those in another location. The team bears the expenses of these gifts without expecting anything in return, and they take care to ensure that they are not perceived as celebrities or influencers by the public.
"We are not celebrities or influencers. We are nobody," they added.
