If you like to enjoy the fruits longer, simply turn them into a preserve. Here's how:
- Scrub the oranges with coarse kosher salt or sea salt.
- Rinse them under running water for 10 mins. Thoroughly pat them dry.
- Chop off the ends. Cut all the fruits into quarters.
- Fully dip the slices in kosher salt or sea salt. To make the salt stick, smear some of its juice on top.
- Pack them tightly in a clean mason jar. It's ok if the juice comes out as you push the fruits down.
