A Twitter user who happened to be present at the Bukit Jalil Vaccination Centres today (19th August 2021) shared a heartbreaking incident she witnessed at the location.

A RELA Officer was seen repeatedly kicking and punching foreigners who were lining up to get their vaccines for no apparent reason.

The incident happened more than a few times and at least three police officers were present yet no action was taken against the abusive RELA officer.
Bukit Jalil PPV is the only vaccination center providing vaccines for foreigners and immigrant workers throughout the whole state. Some of them would begin queueing up first thing in the morning just to get their turn and understandably, the long queues are inevitable.
They deserve to be treated fairly as human beings and such abusive behavior displayed by this RELA officer should never be tolerated or excused. Shame to those who look down on struggling individuals trying to make a living in a foreign country, just because they're privileged enough to not be suffering the same fate.
Let this be a reminder for us to practice compassion and empathy always.
