The Film Censorship Board (LFP) finds the display of undies on home shopping networks very 'offensive'.
It is reported that the board has issued letters asking two local broadcasters to stop showing off male and female innerwear on their channels.
Even if the channels do not show undergarments worn by a live model, the board claims that the advertising 'still offend the community, especially those related to race, religion, gender, and age.'
As quoted from the letter dated 3rd September. "the requirement to preserve manners, decency & sensitivities of a multi-ethnic and multi-religious society in Malaysia is of utmost importance."
Malaysians took to Twitter to share their two cents and make their own 'inside' jokes. Pun intended!
WTF!!! Oi Malaysians! You get horny and turned on just by looking at underwear/undergarments on sale on TV???

The entire country: we need to curb this covid situation. Vaccination needs to ramp up. Also work out proper SOPs so all sectors can open up to revive the economy. Mental health needs to be addressed and dealt with urgently.

Censorship board: no broadcasting of undergarments.
Offensive to children? Sensitivity of a multiracial society?! Hello, we all wear undergarments.

The only thing that should be censored is your mind perceiving inner wear display as a threat.
Note that no complaint was ever made to the Censorship Board.https://t.co/MCKZ5huj0s
Censorship towards undergarments is ridiculous. It’s not a ‘dirty’ item and it’s essential on a daily basis. So what’s wrong with them being advertised?

So, tell us! Are you all for this censorship or has the LFP gone a little too far this time?
