Based on reports, it would appear that Malaysians would be allowed to go to Singapore in exactly 4 days time!
Yesterday, the 24th of November, Singapore's PM made an announcement that on the 29th of November 2021, land VTL with Malaysia (via the causeway) would be made available, alongside air VTL (Changi & KLIA).
However, as part of the initiative being in its infancy stages, the criterion to traveling, would be as follows:
1. Travelers who are permanent citizens
2. Travelers who are permanent residents
3. Travelers who are long-term pass holders of Singapore
4. Travelers who have been working in either country to visit their families
5. All traveling to be fully vaccinated
6. All traveling to be tested negative in a pre-departure rapid antigen or PCR test (2 days before departure)
With the program, travelers would be required to use the designated VTL bus services. There will be 32 VTL buses each day, 45 passengers per trip and 1,440 passengers into each country.
The two companies operating said services would be Transtar Travel (Larkin Sentral and Woodlands) and Handal Indah (Larkin Sentral and Queen Street). Tickets on sale from Nov 25th onward.
