Do You Feel Like You're Struggling? Here Are 6 Ways To Keep Your Head Above Water

If you're struggling, then know that whether you realize it or not, there could be habits or practices which may be prolonging that struggle. 

Life is meant to be lived on our own terms, and sometimes we don't remind ourselves of that. 

Here are 6 things you're probably doing, which in no way, helps.

1. You prioritise others over your own freedom

Important people are important, but you should never sacrifice yourself in order to put them first. You can only be at your happiest, and make others happy, when you're number 1. 

Support others but don't neglect yourself.

2. You expect the world to make you happy

Happiness comes to those who earn it, not to those who deserve it. You don't deserve to be happier than the next guy, you work for happiness because that is what you want. 

Your joy isn't dependent on the outside world, it starts inside; you.

3. You lack the courage to choose and stay

Whatever you attempt to pursue, be sure to see it through. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going, not you get going. Stay focused on your dreams and hang in there till they actually come through. 

Don't give up half way.

4. You're rigid with your judgments

People make mistakes, people make wrong choices, people will hurt you. The true act of maturity is when you can look at all these faults, understand, forgive and move on. 

There is no peace to be had in hatred.

5. You're afraid of boredom

So many people despise being bored so much they spend their time doing the most meaningless things. If you find yourself feeling bored, embrace that feeling, do not give in. 

Make her a friend instead of a foe.
