Finally, after much anticipation, the renowned Heng Kee Roasted Pork owner who is also known as the son of the recently viral man who dragged a dog with his car has caused a heated debate among netizens who are not buying his explanation.
Just a week or so ago, a Malaysian shared a disturbing video on social media, revealing a dog owner who cruelly chained a dog and dragged it with his car.
The authorities have confirmed the identity of the dog abuser, who happens to be the father of the popular Roasted Pork shop owner known as the Roast Pork Dance King, named "Shan Wen." This revelation has sparked intense discussions online.
After days of silence, the Roast Pork Dance King finally addressed the incident publicly on June 6. In his statement, he revealed that he was neither present at the scene nor directly involved in the incident, which is why he chose to remain silent initially.
Shan Wen went on to explain the sequence of events that transpired that day. He claimed that the dogs on his father's farm were all abandoned by previous owners and had a history of biting people.
The dog, who tragically died, was the latest addition to his father's collection of dogs.
Due to unfamiliarity, the dog displayed aggressive behaviour towards the chickens and other dogs on the farm.
As a result, his father decided to transfer the dog to another farm. Shan Wen stated that his father had made multiple attempts to coax the dog into the car, but it refused to cooperate.
Consequently, his father resorted to tying the dog to the back of the car to slowly transport it to the new location. Unfortunately, his father only discovered the dog's injured paws after an Indian gentleman forced him to stop the car during the journey.
In his statement, Shan Wen revealed that his father is currently awaiting legal judgment, emphasizing that his father does not evade legal responsibility for his actions and vehemently denying the allegations of animal abuse circulating online.
Additionally, some netizens accused his father of making a statement that said, "Saya bukan Islam, saya tak risau" (I am not Muslim, I don't care), but his father firmly stated that he never made such remarks and clarified that he has been unfairly vilified.
Following the release of Shan Wen's statement, the comment section quickly filled with a multitude of opinions and discussions.
Many expressed scepticism towards Shan Wen's explanation, stating that his father's cruel actions were undeniable and that no amount of justification could change that.
In the end, Shan Wen also made a remark towards the samaritan who witnessed the incident, asking, "When you stopped my father, why didnt you send the dog for treatment? Instead, why are all of you banding together to gang up on an old man?"
