The recent floods that swept through Malaysia caused significant damage and uprooted many lives. While affected areas are beginning to recover, with residents returning from temporary relief centers (PPS), stories of resilience and generosity continue to inspire.
Among those stepping forward to offer support is renowned cosmetics entrepreneur, Dato Seri Vida, who has donated RM200,000 to aid flood victims in Kelantan. Her philanthropic gesture was announced on Instagram, where she expressed her solidarity with those impacted.
"Alhamdulillah, my hero Kacak! Representing me to deliver aid to the people of Kelantan. Although I am far away, I always pray that those affected by the floods will have their affairs eased. This time, I allocated almost RM200,000 to purchase necessities and food," she shared, referring to her son, Muhammad Eric Zaquan, affectionately called Kacak.
Dato Seri Vida is currently in Saudi Arabia performing her umrah pilgrimage. In her absence, her son took the lead in distributing the aid. Kacak departed from Ipoh early in the morning, traveling to Kelantan to oversee the relief efforts.
A video posted on her Instagram account captured the distribution process. A lorry carrying essential supplies, including drinking water, rice, and flour, was unloaded and handed out to flood-hit communities. In addition to these goods, cash donations were also given to families in need, providing immediate relief.
"Alhamdulillah, @kacak_._ has safely arrived in Kelantan and completed distributing aid in one of the affected areas. Pray for Kacak to stay motivated, friends. If only Mama were here," Dato Seri Vida wrote in another post, praising her son's dedication.
Her generous contribution and her son's efforts have brought not only much-needed assistance but also hope to those struggling in the aftermath of the disaster. Many have expressed their gratitude on social media, applauding both Dato Seri Vida's charitable spirit and her son's active involvement.
