A 24-year-old woman narrowly escaped an attempted rape at a public toilet in Laman Kampung Melayu, Kluang, Johor, on the evening of December 17. Displaying remarkable bravery, she defended herself by biting the assailant's hand and scratching his face before fleeing the scene.
According to Berita Harian, members of the public detained the suspect at approximately 5:20 PM, shortly after the woman managed to escape.
Kluang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Bahrin Mohd Nor revealed that the suspect, a 34-year-old unemployed man, had hidden inside one of the toilet stalls, lying in wait for potential victims.
