A very good news from our MOH, as they are turning Health Ministry's training institutes into quarantine centres, which this has successfully added 19,200 beds for Covid-19 patients and those under investigations (PUI).
The initial plan was 3,400 beds, however, after the addition of training institutes conversion, they have successfully increase the number by 15,800 beds.
The ministry has planned out to accommodate patients with no or mild symptoms, but are positive, in the training institutes, while reserving hospitals for moderate to critical cases.
The Minister, Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also said that, "If the cases continue to increase, maybe we will use these training institutes and the temporary hospital in Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) which has 600 beds.”
This is definitely a comforting news, to see that the government is taking measures and planning ahead. We appreciate the amazing work to all the front-liners and the country leaders, thank you and hoped you guys are safe and healthy! We gonna get through this!
