The use of facemasks has been mandated by the law of many countries to control the spread of COVID-19. For instance, the Government of the Philippines imposed penalties on its citizens if they failed to wear facemasks. Besides, the Singaporean government provided free facemasks to its citizens and required them to wear facemasks when they enter public areas. Other than wearing facemasks, WHO also advised the public to use hand sanitizers to protect themselves.
