A police officer in Sibu, Sarawak was found dead with a gunshot wound on his head. The incident happened in a rented house believed to be that of the deceased's friend.
According to Sibu's District Chief Officer ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit, the deceased, Norhalim Tumiran, 25 was working under the Motorcycle Patrol Unit (URB) of the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (JPJKK) at the Sibu District Police Headquarters.
Prior to the incident, Tumiran came to his friend's rented house to kill time playing video games while waiting to break fast. He is survived by his wife and a one-year-old child.
The case is currently under investigation.
