A drug addict in Lahad Datu stabbed his wife at their home in Kampung Tanjung Labian at around 7 PM yesterday because she refused to pay for his drug expenses.
The 21-year-old victim was quite badly injured in her right arm after being stabbed several times with a scissor. According to the Lahad Datu District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Rohan Shah Ahmad, the victim, who is a Filipino, had to receive three stitches for her injuries, as a result.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code which carries a jail term of up to 10 years if convicted. This is one among many drug-related violence cases that have happened, as of late. A few days ago, a drug addict beheaded his own mother over a similar drug dispute.
