If there is one thing almost absolutely no one can get right, is official shots. From licenses, identification cards, passports, so on and so forth, it always turns out wrong no matter how one tries.
On top of Malaysians having to worry about that, we also have a less than cute looking passport.
However, that isn't the case anymore.

The user apparently got hers from Jalan Duta Immigration, KL, requested at the counter and paid 25RM upon collection.
Another commenter showed a black version of his, which he got from the Wangsa Maju Immigration.
