According to South Korean officials, patients who have recovered from COVID-19 are tested positive again.
The director of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC), Jeong Eun-Kyeong, told a briefing that 91 patients have been tested positive for COVID-19 again.
He added that the possible reason may be that the virus has been “reactivated” rather than being re-infected.
The Health officials from South Korean said that the reason is still under investigation.
Other experts said that there's a possibility of false results or that remnant of the virus could be still in patients' systems but not be infectious or of danger to the host or other people.
“The number will only increase, 91 is just the beginning now,” said the professor of infectious diseases at Korea University Guro Hospital, Kim Woo-Joo.
Hoped the patients get well soon and that a cure is found.
